Compression Socks

These aren’t your Grandma’s socks!

They work by “gradient compression” which means that the strongest compression is at the ankle and this pressure is gradually reduced in the sock as it moves up the calf. This helps to move the blood up the leg, back to the heart, against the pull of gravity. This prevents the blood from flowing backwards down the leg which causes internal pressure on the veins and visible swelling.

Compression socks have come a long way both in looks and in comfort!

Who Would Benefit? People with:

  • Achy/tired legs and feet
  • Swollen feet and ankles
  • Varicose and “Spider Veins”
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
  • Frequent travel demands
  • Pregnacy related swelling

Certainly people suffering from chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins can greatly benefit from compression. However, more and more people are using compression socks to help with their everyday achy and tired legs.
